This small and comfortable inn has served merchants traveling from as far as Clatterton and any who might be looking for passage into the Wheatsea. Its owners, Bembral Proudburrow (of the Roamings Proudburrows) and his wife Timiri Fleetstride, keep a modest garden in the back of the inn which supplements any foods coming from the Ryeturn farms.
The inn itself consists of a stone base and plaster upper floors. However, the way the inn was made keeps it cool in the summer and warm in the winters. The main floor has a large common room with dining tables and a bar. The kitchen is on this floor and rather large for an inn of this size. A testament to the Timiri's love of making food. A smaller smoking area sits next to the hearth where the majority of cooking takes place.
On the second floor are the proprietor's quarters, a larger "studies" suite with several history books, and a decent private table. Next to Bembral's room is another suite where two average-sized folk could stay, but it's intended as a luxury suite for halflings. In the middle of this floor is a large common area known as the "flea suite", where common travelers or adventuring parties can cram in for the low cost of 3 CP per person.
Directly above this floor is an attic. There are two ropes across the stairwells leading up with warning signs to stay out. The proprietor keeps lots of items in the attic, but if you ask Timiri nicely (out of earshot of her husband) she confesses he is a bit of a hoarder and has bought a variety of useless items that "someone will need SOMEDAY".
Bembral's brother, Fristamer Proudburrow, is the proprietor of the Three Wheel Inn which usually deals with a rougher clientele.
