Dossier

Sageko is a male lizardfolk cleric of the War Domain and a fierce, if unsettling, member of Bromocorah Inc., his battle-hungry nature and primal instincts adding a raw edge to the guild. Standing at 6’2”, Sageko has a muscular, reptilian frame covered in shimmering, emerald-green scales that glisten with a faint sheen when wet. His name, Sageko—a mix of “Sage” and “Gecko”—is actually his father’s name, Okegas, spelled backward, a tradition in his clan to honor lineage. His slitted, amber eyes glow with predatory intensity, often narrowing as he sizes up both foes and potential meals, and his elongated snout is filled with sharp, jagged teeth that he bares in a toothy grin to intimidate enemies, using his face as a weapon of fear. A row of bony spines runs down his back, and his clawed hands and feet are built for both combat and climbing, making him a formidable presence on the battlefield.

Sageko’s attire is minimal, reflecting his primal nature and devotion to his war deity. He wears a patchwork breastplate made of hammered metal and bones, engraved with crude symbols of his god—a spear crossed with a skull—painted in red ochre. A tattered, blood-red sash, stained from countless battles, is tied around his waist, and a necklace of teeth—some from beasts, others suspiciously humanoid—clatters around his neck, a trophy of his victories. His weapon of choice is a heavy, spiked mace he calls “Meat-Tenderizer,” which he wields with brutal efficiency, and a small, cracked holy symbol of his deity hangs from his belt, glowing faintly when he channels divine magic. His tail, thick and powerful, often lashes in excitement during battle, occasionally knocking over nearby objects—or allies—if he’s not careful.
As a War Domain cleric, Sageko is a battle junkie, thriving in the chaos of combat and channeling his deity’s power to enhance his prowess. His magic bolsters his strength, heals wounds, or calls down divine wrath in the form of searing light or thunderous strikes, all while he charges headlong into the fray, mace swinging. He uses his reptilian features to intimidate, often roaring and snapping his jaws in enemies’ faces, his toothy maw and glowing eyes striking fear into even the boldest foes. Sageko’s primal instincts drive his love for meat—he sees every creature as potential food, including his guildmates, often staring at them hungrily before shaking his head and muttering, “No, bad Sageko, friends not food.” Despite this, his heart is loyal, and he restrains his urges, knowing it’s wrong to eat allies, though he’ll eagerly devour fallen enemies after a fight, much to the group’s unease.

Guild Role

Within Bromocorah Inc., Sageko’s ferocity and unsettling habits make him a formidable but challenging member. Kilionzel values his combat skills, often placing him at the forefront of battles, though she keeps a close eye on his predatory stares. Demit is wary of Sageko’s hunger, often casting protective wards on himself, though he respects the cleric’s divine magic. Verin tries to charm Sageko with her cookings, which he enjoys, though he’s more focused on the “raw meat” than her cooking.Frostia Ace ensures Sageko has proper meals to curb his urges, serving meat with a sigh. Blackpowder Saltpeter and Sageko cause fiery chaos in battle, though Sageko’s hunger makes Blackpowder wary. Ionna Crossbear fusses over Sageko, scolding him for his eating habits, which he endures with a grumble, accepting her snacks. Yozora Hinokumo’s energy excites Sageko, the two often sparring, though he has to remind himself she’s not food. Veldryn Whitetail ’s theatrics entertain Sageko, who sees him as “colorful meat,” but restrains himself, joining in the performance with a battle roar. Almiron Sylvarith admires Sageko’s faith, the two paladins bonding over their devotion, though Almiron stays cautious around the hungry lizardfolk.

Sageko’s role in Bromocorah Inc. is as a frontline warrior and divine support, his War Domain magic and intimidating presence turning battles in their favor, while his meat obsession adds a layer of primal tension. His journey with the guild is one of balancing his predatory instincts with loyalty, proving that even a battle-hungry lizardfolk can be a true friend—though he’ll always be on the lookout for his next meal.
