Caminor Demnore is a male halfling ranger and an endearing, if easily distracted, member of Bromocorah Inc., his love for fluffy animals often derailing his focus despite his impressive skills. Standing at 100 cm—tall for a halfling, roughly 3’3”—Caminor has the sturdy, sun-kissed build of a farmer, with a ruddy complexion and a smattering of freckles across his cheeks. His hazel eyes, often watery from his allergic rhinitis, sparkle with childlike wonder whenever he spots a furry creature, and his tousled, chestnut hair peeks out from beneath a conical straw hat that gives him a rustic, pastoral look. His round face is framed by a scruffy beard, and his small, pointed ears twitch at the sound of rustling fur, a sign of his heightened ranger senses—and his unfortunate obsession.
Caminor’s attire is simple and practical, reflecting his farmer-like appearance. He wears a faded green tunic with rolled-up sleeves, patched at the elbows, paired with brown trousers that are slightly too long, the hems frayed from traipsing through the forest. A leather belt holds his weapons: a shortbow slung across his back, a modified chisa-katana (a longsword scaled for his size) at his hip, and a tanto dagger tucked into his boot. His conical hat, weathered and slightly crooked, shades his eyes from the sun, and a small, woven satchel at his side contains foraged herbs, a few arrowheads, and a handkerchief he uses to manage his allergy symptoms—sneezing, itchy eyes, and a stuffy nose triggered by his love for fluffy animals.
As a ranger, Caminor is a skilled hunter with samurai-like precision, his small stature giving him an edge in stealth and archery, allowing him to hide and aim with deadly accuracy. He can track prey through dense forests, move silently, and strike with his chisa-katana in a blur of motion, his training honed by years in the wild. His Beast of the Land companion, Goldo—a large, bear-like creature with shaggy brown fur and a grumpy demeanor—fights alongside him, using its powerful claws and bulk to protect Caminor. However, Goldo is growing weary of his master’s antics, often rolling its eyes or huffing in exasperation when Caminor gets distracted, its once-loyal demeanor now tinged with impatience as it nudges him back to focus.
Caminor’s greatest strength—and weakness—is his psychological condition, an excessive fixation on fluffy animals. He’s drawn to their natural scents and softness, unable to distinguish between “cute” and “sacred,” leading him to impulsively hug, stroke, or sniff any furry creature he encounters, from rabbits to foxes to monstrous beasts with even a hint of fluff. This obsession causes him to lose focus on his missions, pausing to savor the moment or clinging to the animal like a child throwing a tantrum when their toy is taken away. He’ll even fearlessly approach dangerous monsters if they’re fluffy, once trying to cuddle a dire wolf mid-battle, much to Goldo’s frustration. His desire to sleep with furry creatures—regardless of size—has led to awkward situations, like when he curled up with a hibernating bear, sneezing uncontrollably from his allergies but refusing to leave. Those allergies, caused by allergic rhinitis, plague him with sneezing, red eyes, and rashes, but they don’t deter his obsession, only adding a layer of comedic tragedy to his fluffy encounters.
