Adrastus I Pelegon, also called Good Shah Adrastus and Adrastus the Good, was the 15th Shahanshah. He was a good-hearted and just ruler, a patron of the arts and noted philosopher and scientist. He inherited and continued his grandfather's era of sustained peace. Adrastus is perhaps most well-known for ordering the construction of the House of Wisdom, which he also designed. Many said that he had it in him to be another Vidorion I, but he died young of a stomach disease in his forty-third year.
Additionally, Adrastus hosted the greatreligiouscouncil, a series of interfaith dialogues aimed at promoting religious tolerance across the Imperium. Adrastus famously enacted the Edicts of Tolerance, a series of royal decrees which legalized and granted the right to temple to various previously illegal faiths. Under Adrastus’ reign, the Temple District grew into a flourishing center of various faiths, as Adrastus utilized the Imperial treasury to fund the construction of several great temples to various faiths.
