Election



Following Vidorion's War, the lords and monarchs of Pelegon convened in Arcanopolis to elect the next monarch. After two months of debate, the lords selected Vidorion I Pelegon as Shahanshah.

  • By the time of the election, she was old, infirm, and senile
  • Additionally, she was exceptionally far back in the line of succession due to her brother's descendants

King-consort Beldranos Pelegon

  • One of Pelgos I's last surviving children
  • His claim was largely dismissed due to his marriage to Melissa III Orthed

Princess Mariah Pelegon

  • One of Pelgos I's last surviving children
  • Her name was entered into the running against her will
  • She declared that she would not seek the crown and her claim was dismissed

Sir Gered Goodfellow

  • Gered was considered a distant relation to the main branch of the Imperial family
  • Not even supported by most of House Goodfellow, his claim was quickly dismissed
  • His half-brother, Jerichon Mannos, called his attempt "folly," destroying any credibility he had

  • His name was entered into the running against his will
  • He called the attempt, and the attempt of his half-brother Gered, folly
Wu Guanyu
  • As a foreigner and the daughter of a bastard, her claim was flatly rejected
