Following Vidorion's War, the lords and monarchs of Pelegon convened in Arcanopolis to elect the next monarch. After two months of debate, the lords selected Vidorion I Pelegon as Shahanshah.
Prince Vidorion, the recent victor of the late war, was cognizant and sensitive to his position as a usurper to the Golden Falcon Throne. As a means of placating the Imperium, the Prince held the election despite know ahead of time that the vast majority of the votes would go to him. This allowed him to grant a degree of legitimacy to his reign, legitimacy that he later leveraged against the few Oderionists who continued to rebel during his reign.
