Lorsan Brightwood

Lorsan spent his summers as a youth living in Quillpond with his Aunt Ivis. Between his early tweens to late teens, he was a summer-time fixture of Quillpond. The residents got to know the loveable, if foolish, kid who helped Ivis however he could (and stayed in trouble through a string of bad choices). When his teens ended, he stopped his summer visits, settling in to “start a new exciting life”. His history of bad choices followed him.

Six months ago, Lorsan was an enforcer for a small-time crime syndicate in Port Bova. Six months ago, he made a deal that changed his life and left him with a new… friend.

These days, he lives at The Singing Stag, helping out Aunt Ivis and generally trying to keep a low profile while he figures out what he’s agreed do. Gaston has been really helpful in that respect and the two have done a good bit of research into Hexblades and Pacts.

The whole while “Mercy” has been teaching Lorsan things. Dark things. Powerful things.

Lorsan arrived at Unknown with one chest of personal items:

• a fully restored bronze breastplate from his time spent with Forge, freshly painted with the insignia of The Singing Stag
• A Golden Butterfly Token gifted to him by the Myconids
• a few bottles of wine from the Bosco Ranch, the Zanatta Estate, and a growler of his Aunt Ivis's ale
• a set of fine clothes that clean and mend themselves

He seems content to remain at Celaeno House as long as they'll let him. Quite honestly, this is possibly the nicest room Lorsan's had in quite some time.

Soon after the events involving Emmitt Staten, The Unknown asked Lorsan and his companions to travel to the Windfall Archipelago to investigate a recent uptick of activity with the local pirate population. Having spent more time than he cared to admit around pirates while living in Port Bova, Lorsan only hoped not to find too many familiar faces.

So far, the experience has been great for Lorsan! He won a pageant and made a friend in Vathunugoni. He lost a contest of Knife-Kiting, but still ingratiated the winner, Zinteal. And, of course, with his time spent in the local alehouse, Lorsan berfriend the head barkeep, Zandra Garside.
