Loose threads The Prime Inventor; the Remains of Dazrit, Hawk's New & Improved Curse
Participants Vhel, Tamiko Sato of House Miyagawa, The Ashen Hawk, Damin Saltric
Locations Desert of Rydess, City of Dazrit
Short summary:
The team met with a representative of The Prime Inventor for help in destroying Dazrit, the flying city. After some negotiation, the party acquired the Inventor's help in some alchemical items. The party flew up to the base of the city, used an item to tunnel directly to the heart, and fought off some undead. Using a different item, they combined Tamiko's wellspring of vitality with Ashen Hawk's nexus of void to drain the heart of Dazrit and cause it to crash into the desert.

The Ashen Hawk reporting in.
The City in the Sky has been floating over the Desert of Rydess for years. It has laid dormant and dangerous. I wanted it gone, and I planned to use the void nexus I obtained in The Edge of Entropy. Nothing will remain.
I received a letter from an entity calling themself the The Prime Inventor detailing a time and place to meet. I needed a team. Damin Saltric joined me after our work together in For the Fist of Iron. In the same vein, I reached out to the trio from the opposite side in Gildenwind. Tamiko Sato of House Miyagawa and Vhel responded.
We met not with the Prime Inventor but a homunculus they spoke through. We were given three items: special goggles that would let the Prime Inventor see what we see, a worm vial to help us reach the heart of Dazrit, and a special alchemical vial that, when mixed with Tamiko's blood and injected into my cursed arm, would allow me to destroy the city. It seemed too convenient, and the Prime Inventor seemed more interested in the experiment than whether Dazrit was destroyed or if we died. We decide to accept his help as a group.
We travel north into the desert under the city. With flying magic and mounts, we reach the bottom of the city and use the worm vial to tunnel into a chamber in the center of the city. We fight some undead hanging out, then take a look around. There is a black, beating heart 40 feet across in the corner of the room on a dais. We make our preparations and perform the alchemical process of mixing Tamiko and Hawk's curses, then turning the nexus onto the undead heart. We decide to not wear the goggles so that the Prime Inventor could not get data from this.
Undead, including a lich, arrive to defend the heart. Tamiko claims my curse to allow me to move freely; xe was stuck within 10 feet of the heart. Damin teleports across the battlefield and I follow suit to take out the lich; Vhel supports from afar while defending her partner. Damin was quickly dominated by the lich, and I was getting bullied by a skeleton and ghoul while the duo at the heart had to defend themselves from another pair of the same. Things got... dire. We were on the precipice of failure. But then Damin broke himself free of the lich's domination, and Vhel used her masterful medicine to bring us all back to moderate health.
After exhausting my soulforger powers and much of Tamiko's healing, we prevailed. After cooling down, the alchemical process kicked into gear, and the four of us took psychic control of the city as it started to plummet from the sky. We elected to atomize as much of the city- and its denizens- as possible. While Vhel kept the doors sealed against more undead, Damin, Tamiko, and myself used our skill knowledge to drive Dazrit across the desert, carving a north-south line 30 miles long across the desert between Jelly Jail and Cesil's Folly (All Seasons Forest).
The four of us decided to name the new feature of the desert the Grave of the Sky.
Back at First Landing, we debriefed with an unhappy Prime Inventor.
