Serving as the avatar of Valekith and the leader of the Tribunal of Netheril, Archshadi Neverus was the strongest Shadi mage among the shadi mages whom resided within the Floating City of Netheril. Assuming the mantle of Archshadi, the highest distinction among the Shadi Order, and being proclaimed the avatar for Valekith's return, Neverus was the key component in bringing Valekith back to The Shadowfell.
In the age of the Mytharil Empire, Neverus was Valekith's prized pupil and most devoted follower. His unwavering loyalty and exceptional magical prowess set him apart from his peers. Valekith saw great potential in Neverus and trained him in the darkest and most powerful arts of magic. This devotion and training forged a bond between master and pupil that transcended time and realms.
Neverus possessed unique abilities that made him a formidable force within the Shadi Order. His ability to possess and assume others' bodies allowed him to infiltrate and eliminate key figures who threatened his plans. In a display of his cunning and ruthlessness, Neverus killed Shadowlord Mortis after taking his form and learning of his plans to grow his power base.
This, however, was not enough for Neverus. His ambition and loyalty to Valekith drove him to further eliminate threats to his power. He later killed Shadowlord Nox and aided in slaying Lucius in a bid to regain the mantle of power that was stolen from Valekith long ago. With each victory, Neverus grew stronger, his influence and control over Netheril solidifying.
As the avatar of Valekith, Neverus led the Tribunal of Netheril with an iron fist. His leadership ensured that the Shadi Order continued to advance in dark magic and maintain their dominance in the Shadowfell. Neverus' strategic mind and relentless pursuit of power made him a key figure in Valekith's return and the continued survival of Netheril. Ultimately, Neverus would be consumed by the Valekith after reclaiming both of his masters hands during the Battle of the Four Armies.
