Master Shen Agatsu

This character is dead.
Elder Monk of Fujin

Master Shen Agatsu, calm and wise, is the revered Elder Monk and master of the Unknown. Born with an unshakable connection to the wind and a deep affinity for Ether-Rifting, Shen began his spiritual journey under the tutelage of the legendary Dragon Ryujin Hattori. As a young and aspiring wind monk, Shen studied the intricate teachings of Fujin, the god of wind, focusing on balance, patience, and the flow of energy through the world.

However, Shen's path to leadership was forged in tragedy. His ascension to the title of Elder Monk came after the malevolent OniYokai - invaded the Sakura Spirit Woods, slaying the previous master of the Wind Monks and plunging the spiritual order into chaos. Alongside his brother, Master Orochi Agatsu, the elder monk of the Unknown, Shen rose to the challenge. Together, they confronted the demonic Blood-King Yokai, ultimately banishing him to the Plane of Faewyld, saving the Sakura Woodlands and restoring peace to the Y’azi Peninsula. In recognition of their valor, both Shen and Orochi were granted permission by the Dragon Emperor to embark on a sacred pilgrimage to the fabled Isle of Storms, a mysterious island south of the Y’azi Peninsula, where it is believed that Fujin and Raijin themselves reside among the storm-wracked peaks.

It was on this spiritual pilgrimage that Shen and Orochi found their true purpose. The brothers spent years on the Isle of Storms, honing their understanding of balance between wind and storm, learning from the ancient energies of the gods themselves. The island, constantly surrounded by fierce winds and flashing lightning, became their spiritual crucible. After completing their journey, the brothers returned to the Y'azi Peninsula, now deeply in tune with the forces they represented.

Upon returning, Master Shen dedicated his life to guiding and teaching future generations of monks. His role as Elder Monk not only cemented his leadership of the Wind Monks but also made him a central spiritual figure throughout the Y'azi Peninsula. Under his stewardship, the Temple of Fujin became a haven for pilgrims traveling from all corners of the empire, seeking spiritual enlightenment and respite in the winds of Fujin.

Known for his calm demeanor and collected judgment, Shen was often the voice of reason in times of conflict, contrasting with his brother Orochi's fiery passion as the representative of Raijin. His mastery of Ether-Rifting, an advanced spiritual technique of manipulating the winds and arcane energies of the world, became legendary, and his wisdom extended far beyond the walls of his temple. His influence shaped the path of countless monks and pilgrims alike, solidifying his place as a respected elder across the Y'azi Peninsula.

Shen Agatsu’s presence brought balance, much like the wind itself—sometimes a gentle breeze guiding the lost, other times a firm gale pushing for change. His leadership, combined with his spiritual connection to Fujin, has left an indelible mark on the generations of monks who followed in his footsteps and continues to inspire those who seek enlightenment through the teachings of the wind god.

The Last Gale

Tani Mountains

In the final days of the Khaos onslaught, when The Tides of Khaos crashed upon the Y’azi Peninsula, the warriors of Fujin and Raijin stood united, defending their homeland from the twisted horrors spilling forth from the northern wastes.

Among them, Master Shen Agatsu and the Unknown fought with the grace of the storm itself, weaving through battle like whispers of the wind. Beside them, his brother Master Orochi Agatsu led the Unknown, striking like thunderous fury upon the battlefield.

But then, from the chaos of battle, a monstrous Khaos Titan—a being of devastation and madness—rose from the carnage, its form a shifting horror of warped flesh and molten ruin. It carved a path through the Y’azi ranks, an unstoppable force, aimed toward Orochi, who, for the first time in his long life, found himself outmatched.

Shen did not hesitate.

With a final breath, he harnessed the very winds of Fujin, channeling his mastery of Ether-Rifting into a single, devastating technique. He became the eye of the storm, his very body dissolving into the raging gales. A surge of divine wind engulfed the Titan, splitting it apart, scattering its infernal essence to the sky as the storm carried its remains beyond the veil of existence.

When the winds settled, Shen was gone.

His form, once solid, had become one with the winds, carried into the heavens in the ultimate act of sacrifice. His name was whispered upon the breeze, his presence felt in every gust that swept across the battlefield.

His brother Orochi knelt in silent mourning, knowing that Shen had saved him—had saved them all. The Wind Monks bowed their heads, not in sorrow, but in reverence, for Shen Agatsu had not died—he had ascended.

And so, in the wake of battle, as the storm clouds parted over the Y'azi Peninsula, his legacy lived on.

His teachings would be passed to his chosen successor, Tatsujiro Kazuo, and his spirit would forever ride the winds of Fujin, guiding those who sought enlightenment in the path of the storm.
