History & Origins
Skorri Frost was once a dwarf fae of the Winter Realm, forged in cold, endurance, and tradition. He and his younger brother, Brynjar Frost, were born into a minor winter court whose values prized stubbornness as virtue and silence as strength.
When Skorri abandoned Winter for the Fall Realm after a bitter family dispute, he claimed it was a matter of pride. In truth, it was flight.
In the eastern reaches of Fall, Skorri discovered a range of mountains rich with ore, geothermal vents, and deep fire-veins. He settled there, building great forges and carving halls into the stone. Over time, his simmering anger—unresolved, unspoken—began to reshape the land itself. One peak erupted and never stopped.
Thus Hearthfire Heights was born.
Nature & Temperament
Skorri is hate made habitual.
His body is now almost entirely molten stone, cracks glowing like forge-lines beneath a crust of blackened rock. Only when his fury abates—rarely—does his true form emerge: an aging dwarf, broad-shouldered, weary-eyed, and deeply alone.
His bitterness is focused on the Mycomind March, a vast fungal hive spreading through the valleys below. Though the Mycomind is largely benevolent, Skorri sees it as an insult—its creeping growth “ruining his view,” encroaching upon land he believes should remain bare, forged, controlled.
Repeated attempts by Big Shroom, the fungal archfey consciousness, to speak or parley have been met with fire.
Skorri does not negotiate with fungi.
Role in the Faewyld
Skorri embodies Fall’s resentment—the danger of clinging to what should have been released.
The Court of Verdance tolerates him because his fires keep worse forces at bay, and because confronting him directly could fracture the region. Philemon believes Skorri could yet be redeemed. Noctyrr of Hollow Eye suspects his fate is already written.
Skorri refuses to attend the Harvest Happening. He claims it is beneath him–although at this stature, not much is.
