The Harbor District of Seregon is a bustling hive of activity, alive with the sounds of creaking timbers, shouting sailors, and the distant roar of the sea. Ships of all sizes fill the harbor, their masts reaching toward the sky like the fingers of some ancient titan. Among them, the sleek form of the Tigress cuts through the water, her crew of disciplined women swiftly preparing her for another journey. Nearby, Crom's Riddle, a massive and imposing warship, sits anchored, its black sails furled, giving the impression of a beast at rest. Abandoned in port, once-proud The Neushoorn lies still and silent, its deck overgrown with barnacles and its hull stained with salt and time—a ghost ship that no one dares approach.
Towering over the harbor, the Phragmata, (Harbour Fort) a formidable stone garrison, stands watch. The great iron chain, capable of sealing off the entire harbor, remains coiled but ready, a silent threat to any who might think to challenge the city's defenses. Across the water, the domed Lighthouse of Valka rises above the covered ancient ziggurat of Zoth-Ommog, its bright light cutting through the fog, guiding ships safely into port while also serving as a stern reminder of Seregon's ancient past and enduring strength.
The Warehouse District hums with the coordinated chaos of commerce. Rows of warehouses, separated by narrow canals, are filled to the brim with goods from across the region. Massive dinosaurs, their powerful legs churning the water, tow fully loaded merchant ships through these canals, bringing them directly to the loading docks. The air is thick with the scent of exotic spices, fresh fish, and the ever-present tang of saltwater. Workers shout orders as crates of goods are loaded and unloaded, the scene overseen by the imposing Harbourmaster's Tower, where the harbormaster himself keeps a watchful eye on the flow of trade.
The Grand Colosseum looms over the district, its massive dome visible from almost anywhere in the harbor. A long line of eager spectators winds its way through the streets, all waiting for the day's main event: the return of the legendary Cas Coevorden, a hero of the arena, who is set to face Yonkers, five-time champion of The Stone Court. The excitement in the air is palpable, with vendors hawking snacks and trinkets to the waiting crowd, and children darting between the legs of adults, all eager for a glimpse of the spectacle to come.
As the sun begins to dip toward the horizon, casting long shadows over the harbor, the district buzzes with the energy of a city that never sleeps—a place where commerce, danger, and spectacle blend together in a vivid tapestry of life.
