Potions of healing were magic potions that healed the wounds of creatures who drank them, though could not regenerate limbs or revive the non-living. They varied in strength, viscosity, and flavor, but were most commonly a thick liquid of deep red that glimmered when agitated. Varieties were often categorized by their magical efficacy, typically referred to as "greater", "superior", and "supreme". Their value increased exponentially based on rarity and power.
Many healing potions were marked with a universal circular sign, or more complex circle surrounded by radiating rays. The symbol was used by healers and potion makers to indicate the remedial properties of the potions, a standard enforced by the Starlit Hand in Somnum.
