Those who bore the Mark of Strahd swore loyalty to Strahd von Zarovich, who had complete dominion over Barovia. Strahd's loyalists were diverse in both species and intellect; whether wearing the mark directly or indirectly, he controlled Mortalborn followers, intelligent Undead, Wolf packs, and other creatures prowling the Demiplane's lands. Though many within his cult maintained their own schemes, vying for position and prestige, all ultimately bent to Strahd's will.
