In Curse Of Strahd, the Stockyard remained a popular place for Adventurers in Barovia to visit, including The Pack, who would end up purchasing a cart from them as well as the Saber-Toothed Tiger that Rictavio had left behind.
Close to the eastern gate of Vallaki, Arasek Stockyard covered a large piece of town land, with several locked sheds along its periphery. In the center was a roomy warehouse operated by its owners, Yelena and Gunther Arasek. The stockyard carried everything from daggers to ropes to wagons, all available for a steep price; however, anything beyond mundane items generally fell to the hands of the Burgomaster. Given their variety of wares, its operators were multi-skilled, able to repair and modify many types of items.
The stockyard was a popular place for travelers in Barovia, as it was the only reliable place to purchase animals such as Horses. The land available made it also a place for storage more secure than anything outside the town; Rictavio paid to store his carnival wagon there, unquestioned by the owners despite the strange growls inside.
