Gunther Arasek

In Curse Of Strahd, Gunther met The Pack, who were looking to purchase mounts. They discovered that a set of platemail in his shop was officially property of the Burgomaster Vargas Vallakovich, as it had been taken from banished adventurer Brokk M'odag. He was later blackmailed by paladin Ghalwin Forrester into giving away the armor for free. Ghalwin and Gunther later made up, and the group convinced them to take Rictavio's wagon and Shredder. He also sold the pack an old wagon, as well as Sesame, Bagel, and Lox. 

After the Riots Of The Blazing Sun, Gunther and Yelena operated one of the only businesses remaining in southern Vallaki, as the rest of the town had burned.

After the riots, the Arasek Stockyard maintained good business, as many townsfolk looked to arm themselves to kill adventurers. However, Ghalwin reappeared with the Heralds of Dawn, and gave Gunther a secret deal: he and Yelena could be on a new mercantile council, if they assisted in ousting Fiona Wachter from power.

Gunther agreed, and after the Silver Dawn Of Vallaki, made decisions on behalf of many Vallakians until the Red Dusk Of Vallaki. The city was torn apart by Strahd von Zarovich's wrath, and both Gunther and Yelena perished as their stockyard burned.
