In Curse Of Strahd, Clovin greeted the Pack as they entered, and showed them around the abbey grounds when asked. He provided tidbits about the history of the Abbey and the Belview family, though the drunk mongrelman was generally uninterested in anything educational. At their request, he also led them to the grave of Tasha Petrovna, though he knew nothing of the graveyard's inhabitants.
Clovin was the highest-ranking Belview in the Abbey of Saint Markovia, and was responsible for corralling and feeding his family members. As a Mongrelfolk created by The Abbot, Clovin lead a short and painful life, but was nonetheless considered the martinet and right-hand-man of the abbey. Due to his station and his harsh treatment of his family, he was despised by this family. He bore responsibility for keeping "guests" happy, and maintained all the keys in the area; he was also the only Belview kept safe from the wandering Flesh Golems guarding the grounds.
His right head was fully formed and combined the features of a patchy-haired man with those of a goat, complete with stubby horns, and possessed a crab's pincer in place of his left hand and a bear's paw where his right foot should have been. His left head was about half normal size and had a soft, cherubic face partly covered with crocodilian hide, only able to hiss with a fork-like tongue, and Clovin grew annoyed whenever it attempted to speak.
Clovin was constantly drunk, resulting in the feeding times for the other mongrelfolk coming at seemingly random times, and punishments that never had consistency. Nonetheless, when he had enough wine, Clovin was an expert viol player, gripping the neck of the instrument with his crustacean claw. He harbored a deep resentment for an older mongrelfolk that had escaped the abbey, the former martinet Cyrus Belview.
