Khirad

In Curse Of Strahd, Atlas Atruvian saw Khirad's sarcophagus through a vision provided by the Tome of Strahd, locked alongside the tombs of Delban and Vampyr. Knowing that their appearance was offputting to most adventures, they appeared in a form of mystery designed to appeal to the twilight Cleric, seemingly balancing light and shadow in a form of starlight.

Later, in a moment of desperation to protect Tessa Nicoleva from Bella Sunbane's magic, he reached out for Khirad's help. Having already felt Atlas' vision of him, Khirad accepted and temporarily transported the girl into the Ethereal, saving her life and creating a connection with Atlas. The cleric would continue to form a relationship with the Dark Power, but ultimately rejected an offer of a pact as he entered Berez, and then died at the hands of Baba Lysaga.

Months later, Zhivris' sarcophagus was encountered by the Heralds of Dawn. He had little will to contact the adventurers after failing with Atlas, and remained intent to wait for another powerful Spellcaster to enter Barovia.
