A common canine Beast found throughout the world, foxes had large ears, long red-to-brown fur, and bushy tails. Favoring lowland forested terrain, foxes were known for their excellent senses of hearing, smell and vision. Distantly related to Dogs, they were very agile and were able to evade predators with ease. Foxes were carnivores, hunting small game such as Rats, but would eat plants if desperate. They preferred insects and rotting meat to plants, and were highly adaptable.
Foxes were often kept as Familiars by Spellcasters, who valued their graceful reflexes and ability to hide. They were seen by many cultures as symbols of intelligence and trickery.
