A worg was a type of magical Monstrosity that resembled a normal Wolf but was larger, more intelligent, and had a nastier countenance than a simple Beast. They had gray or black fur, and on average stood 3‑foot-high (0.91‑meter) high and were 5‑foot-long (1.5‑meter), weighing around 300 lb (140 kg). They had their own language and could often speak the language of Goblins, who often employed them as mounts. They were also regularly used by Hobgoblins and Orcs as attack dogs and trackers.

Despite their higher intelligence and evil traits, worgs tended to act, for the most part, like regular wolves. They often hunted in packs, but were sometimes solitary creatures, and attacked with tooth and claw, using their keen senses to hunt prey. Lone worgs tended to hunt smaller animals, while mated pairs and packs hunted larger game. They preferred large, herbivorous animals such as Elk or Goat, usually the young, sick, or weak, but weren't afraid to take humanoids, especially when other food sources were exhausted.
