The Greatwyrm's Gullet was a mountain range that spanned from the southwestern from the Sound of Silveril to the Body of the Greatwyrm, cutting across the south-central Head of the Greatwyrm. Crossing thousands of miles, it contained the subranges of the Rimerise, the Jawstone Divide, the Emberpeaks, the Wealdshield, and Mountain's Meet; cartographers debated if the Neck of the Greatwyrm were a continuation of the Gullet, or a separate range.
Some religious scholars believed that Greatwyrm's Gullet was a divine opposition to Greatwyrm's Brow, as they divided the Common League from the Elthysi Sovereign and the Scycaen Imperium, respectively. The Gullet was generally lower and far more easily traversable than the Brow, however, save for the magical dangers of the Emberpeaks and the Rimerise.
