An important nexus point that acted as a division between western and eastern Head of the Greatwyrm, Mountain's Meet was thought to be a subrange of Greatwrym's Gullet. It was connected by the Wealdshield and stemmed into the Neck of the Greatwyrm as well as the Wightmist Archipelago, though the extent of its range into the archipelago was unknown.
Mountain's Meet was once the site of a great Dwarf kingdom that fought alongside other Mortalkind in the Age of Giants. Though much of their history was lost, these kingdoms engaged in centuries long war with Orc invaders from the Pikes of Uzuk. Many of the bastions in these mountains eventually fell, leading to very few dwarven communes in southern Somnum. Evidence of their history was visible all throughout the mountains, however, with crumbling monuments to dwarven kings scattered across its peaks and abandoned ancient mines lying deep below its stone.
