Wood of Ara'mírë

The Wood of Ara'mírë, called Talath Ara'mírë by the Elf scholars of Xilvalur and known in Common as the "Veil of Mirage", were a stretch of protected woodlands that separated Tirion Isilmírë from the Sea of Trees. Spanning nearly two hundred miles, the Veil's borders were somewhat undefined, but was marked by a moonlight that shined impossible brightly on its branches.

While not directly guarded by the rangers who watched the woods around Tirion Isilmë, the Wood of Ara'mírë contained thousands of magical alarms and Scrying sensors that directly alerted druids within the capital of any interlopers. Upon seeing those who approached, they would not hesitate to invoke Illusions from their legendary Epochal Artifact, the Dream-Budding Gemstone. With near-infinite power to alter the reality of those who's mind it touched, the artifact would redirect the course of the threat, sending them back into the Sea of Trees none-the-wiser.

Eons of abjurative Spellcasting completely changed the appearance of the Wood of Ara'mírë; its trees shimmered with a silvery glow, and its air was thick with hazy magic. Under the light of the moon, the entire forest appeared to be made of silver, and the treetops themselves would move to cast protective moonlight on Mortalkind within.
