ASG 002 - You Want To Know MY Name?

In "Minauros", the thieves all bet on a Rat Race where the participants were named after famous Archdevils, though everyone ended up losing their bets. Dee learned the name of the race handler, Thrill, and used feminine charm to distract him while Nessa Nina swiped his keycard. The group moved to the "Phlegethosian" spa and snuck into the laundry room using Thrill's keycard, and stole three uniforms. Unwatched in the spa, Dee used a disguise kit to transform Rasmus into a red tiefling security guard wearing an Afterlife employee suit. During this time, Leila found that the keycard and her wildshape shared the same Transmutation, and developed a plan to back up Rasmus.

With a spider Leila hiding behind the keycard in his pocket, Rasmus entered the employee-only area, posing as a new and untrained guard named "Vanity." He spoke to another employee named Boldness, tricking the guard into believing Quentin had never told him anything about the job. He learned that the boss used a Minotaur Skeleton named "Virgil" to guard the vault, controlling it with a rod made of bone, and that the gnome typically stayed in his office when not busy with the tournament. Boldness also told him about the jail cells past the monitoring room, the length that they kept rule-breakers in the Afterlife, and the keys on the wall to lock them.

Rasmus then headed to "speak to Quentin", but went back to the laundry room, and he and Leila came out as their true selves. They joined Nessa and Dee at the rat races, who was once again going tits-out on Thrill. Satisfied they had learned and gambled enough, they left the Afterlife, and were given back their magic items. They were ferried up the River Styx then met Duplicity Kye at the lot, and on the way back to Cliffsunder, they formed a plan (see below).

They bought manacles and grappling hooks in town using old thieving contacts, then spent the night at Doctor Dannel's apartment. Ellenor stayed up late, fashioning a sort of dildo painted in gold to resemble a tiny gnomish penis. She used this time to clear the air with Nessa, revealing why she had taken the name of "Dee". Nessa's previous protege had been killed by Nigel Breatham for not giving up Ellenor's location, and Ellenor still clung to this ghost of the past.

Though she did not understand why Ellenor would invoke Dee's name, Nessa forgave her former student. She then beckoned that everyone rest; they needed to be sharp, as they were only hours away from undertaking a hell of a heist.

1) Have Rasmus' Unseen Servant float below the River Styx, hiding under a casino bridge with all of their magic items in Dee's Purse of Holding

2) Enter the Afterlife with nothing except Duplicity's Bag, and allow it to be taken by a guard into the vault

3) Rasmus and Leila will head towards the employee area, Dee will watch the Grand Minauros Invitational tournament at Cania, and Nessa will retrieve the Purse

4) Dee will spend time scoping out Cania, learning of the guard stations, figuring out the magic of the glass cage holding the Erinyes statuette, and think of distraction options

5) Using the stolen keycard, Rasmus will enter the employee areas physically disguised as a guard, with Leila wildshaped under the card

4) Rasmus will go to the break room while releasing Leila into the staging area, where she will look for the Potion of Animal Friendship

5) Leila will drink the potion and convince the animals to round up the circus performers, guards, and employees

6) Rasmus will open the door north of the bar Malbolge and allow Nessa entry, then help Leila remove the guard's weapons/keycards

7) Nessa will unlock Quentin's drawer to steal the bone rod and silk bag, then head into the vault while trying to evade Virgil the minotaur skeleton

8) Leila and Rasmus will lock the guards into cages, as Nessa scoops up money into Duplicity's Bag of Holding and potential magic items into the Purse

9) Nessa will give both the Bag and the Purse to Rasmus, and everyone will take whatever magic items they need from the Purse along with keycards/keys from the guards

10) Leila and Nessa will meet up with Dee while Rasmus uses the magic mirrors to monitor employee movement

10) When they have learned what they can from Dee, they will steal the statuette as soon as possible and replace it with the gnomish dildo. If they have no better distraction, Leila will summon a Fog Cloud and everyone will run to the waterfall

11) Rasmus will run on the signal of the distraction, and everyone will use grappling hooks (if time allows) to rappel down the side as long as they can

12) Duplicity will be waiting in a small boat in a nearby cove, and they will make their way out to the open ocean
