To get revenge on Quentin's betrayal, Duplicity contacted the Golden Vault, requesting skilled thieves to break into her former partner's vault during its first Three-Dragon Ante tournament, dubbed the "Grand Minauros Invitational". For Duplicity, it was not the money or the statuette that truly mattered; it was ensuring that Quentin's betrayal came back to haunt him, and that he knew that the person he betrayed had made him pay.
Handler Meera Raheer sent Rasmus O'Dranith, Leila Vencaryn, Dee, and Nessa Nina Quickpick Rumbauld Pennyluck to meet Duplicity at the Brine Widow. The group agreed to retrieve her gold and the statuette for a fee, and the tiefling drove them to the Afterlife in her own carriage. After they scouted, she procured a boat for them the next day, and waited.
The plan went off fairly successfully, as they successfully recovered her earnings and replaced the statuette with a golden gnomish dildo. As the crew dramatically descended the Unknown's waterfall into the Shifting Blue, Duplicity lay hidden in a nearby cove, and picked them up in her boat. Quentin chased and shouted curses from on high atop the waterfall, and Duplicity made it known to the gnome that it was her who had robbed him.
