In A Stygian Gambit, Rasmus had been getting into trouble across lower Cliffsunder in an effort to impress Mikawbu. He was contacted by animal messenger alongside Leila, Dee, and Nessa Nina Quickpick Rumbauld Pennyluck to meet with Duplicity Kye at the Brine Widow. They accepted her charge to rob the Afterlife Casino, as its proprietor Quentin Togglepocket Whee Quickweasel Witt had betrayed her and stolen her previous winnings. The thieves were given Gildur's Map and told to re-acquire her 5000 gold as well as an Erinyes statuette, the grand prize of Quentin's "Grand Minauros Invitational" Three-Dragon Ante tournament.
He had learned how to use Mikawbu's magic to change form at will, and used it to impersonate a security guard. When not playing games and gambling, Rasmus got access to the backrooms with Thrill's keycard and obtained information from Boldness, posing as a new guard named "Vanity." The gang uncovered Quentin's hidden Spined Devil guards, the Minotaur Skeleton guarding the vault, and the layout of the casinos Magic Mirrors: they had all the information they needed for a great plan.
On the day of the heist, Rasmus snuck the party's magic items in a Bag of Holding through an Unseen Servant hidden below their boat by distracting the boatman Temperance Varell. With a Wildshaped Leila in his pocket, he entered the employee-only area and assisted her in recruiting Emrys. They locked up the security guards, and snuck in Nessa to rob the vault. From there, Rasmus kept tabs via mirror while the other three stole the statuette, then assisted them with further illusions when they made a break for it. The thieves scaled down the River Styx's waterfall, and coordinated with Duplicity to pick them up via rowboat.
They sailed off into the Shifting Blue, having successfully robbed the Afterlife.
