The Brine Widow was a dockside tavern along the Grandport coastline in seedy lower Cliffsunder, generally catering to seafarers and dock workers. Composed of wood from decommissioned ships and shipwrecks found on the Shifting Blue, it was generally considered to be an upstanding establishment in a crime-ridden neighborhood, though did always pay a thug or two to bounce patrons if needed. The centerpiece of the bar was the taxidermied head of a Great White Shark, supposedly a killer Beast who gave its proprietor the name for the tavern.
The back room in the Brine Widow was well-appointed, with a polished wood table, paintings of local landscapes, and wrought-iron lanterns; despite this nice appearance, though, it had a reputation in the neighborhood for being a place for blackmarket deals.
