Boldness

A union of a Human dockworker and a Devilborn sailor, Qudoris Asa was raised in the outer wards of Cliffsunder by her father, as her mother returned to a life on the Shifting Blue. Her horns marked her Devilborn heritage early, resulting in ostracization, but her small size and speed made her a useful to local dock gangs despite her appearance. She learned to fight for coin, pride, and for the few friends who did not run when things turned bad, and was a regular of the Brine Widow. Qudoris ended up taking the virtue name "Boldness"; though she was not of exceptional size or strength, she prided herself on her initiative.

Boldness eventually became an enforcer, first at the Widow, then with a bonded protection crew who accompanied famed Three-Dragon Ante player Gildur Draak. She escorted Gildur to the west of the city, where he had started a project to build the Afterlife Casino. Its proprietor Quentin Togglepocket Whee Quickweasel Witt was seeking to hire tieflings, and the famous Three-Dragon Ante player immediately offered her a contract. She became something akin to its head of security, though truly no one ran the Afterlife except Quentin himself.
