A tanglefoot bag was a simple but effective Alchemical sack, filled with a sticky resin that hardened on contact with air. When thrown at a foe, the bag burst open and coated the target in adhesive slime, slowing their movement, weighing down their limbs, and often leaving them stuck to the ground. Though not deadly, the substance was difficult to remove quickly and could turn the tide of a fight by immobilizing or hampering an opponent.
Widely available and easy to use, tanglefoot bags were favored by hunters, Alchemists, and other Adventurers as a practical tool for subduing enemies or stopping creatures too dangerous to approach head-on.
