It carried a faintly radiant, neutral good power that disrupted the dark magic which animated such creatures and struck . Lesser undead like Skeletons, Zombies, or Ghouls were obliterated instantly upon being struck, while even greater undead such as Vampires or Liches suffered wounds far more grievous than normal. The mace’s holy enchantment was so potent that its mere touch struck fear in evil beings.
Maces of disruption varied in strength, though all shed a bright yellow light and were harmful to evil. Celestial beings such as Devas were known to wield weapons imbued with similar disruptive power, using them to purge corruption and banish creatures of darkness.
