She holds Downtown through a combination of sharp instincts and deep roots in both the Iñupiaq community and Anchorage's business world. She knows the commerce spirits of the city better than anyone, and her skill as a spirit-talker is undeniable.

Her father's death during the War for Anchorage has left her in a complicated position. She possesses his journals and her grandmother's writings — materials that may contain knowledge crucial to the Protectorate's survival. Whether she'll share them remains to be seen.

Tom's family has lived in Alaska for thousands of years — a lineage that stretches back to the first peoples of this land. He speaks to spirits that most Forsaken don't even know exist, and walks paths through the Shadow that appear on no maps.

He holds Turnagain Arm, one of the most spiritually powerful territories in the region. The extreme tides, the dangerous beauty, the sense of standing at the edge of something vast — all of it resonates with his quiet, watchful nature.

Tom has made it clear that his cooperation with the new Protectorate is not guaranteed. The Forsaken came as conquerors, destroyed the existing order, and now want help understanding what they've inherited. He's watching. Testing. Waiting to see if they deserve his knowledge.

Two tours in Afghanistan before the Change. Cat approaches the supernatural the same way she approached combat: assess the threat, gather intelligence, plan the operation, execute with precision. She has little patience for mysticism, prophecy, or spirits who speak in riddles.

She leads the Iron Ridge pack, the largest organized Forsaken presence in the Protectorate. Her territory at Eagle River serves as a gateway between the city and the wilderness — a border she patrols with military efficiency.

Cat is skeptical of the stories coming out of the deep Chugach. She doesn't deny that something is out there, but she wants evidence, not mythology. If you need someone to plan an assault or hold a line, she's your wolf. If you need someone to interpret dreams and visions, look elsewhere.

Diana runs the The Midnight Sun Bar  in Spenard — a bar where the supernatural community of Anchorage mixes, cautiously, under an informal truce. Werewolves, vampires, stranger things — they all pass through Diana's place, and she makes it her business to know what they're up to.

Her family came to Alaska with the Russian fur traders, and she's proud of that heritage. Old icons hang behind the bar alongside vintage pipeline memorabilia. She speaks Russian, English, and enough Yup'ik to get by.

Diana knows more than she says and says more than most people are comfortable with. She trades in information, favors, and introductions. If you need to know something about the supernatural landscape of Anchorage, buying her a drink is a good place to start.

Marcus was one of the Forsaken who answered the Call — the strange pull that drew werewolves north toward Alaska in the months before the War. A military veteran with a reputation for controlled violence, he proved himself in the fighting against the Pure.

He claimed Mountain View after the War, one of Anchorage's most diverse and spiritually unstable neighborhoods. It's contested territory, and holding it requires constant vigilance. Marcus seems suited to the pressure.

Lately, though, something's been off. He's been seen near the Government Hill facility — RD-13 — at odd hours, with no clear explanation. He brushes off questions about it. Those who've hunted with him recently say his focus isn't what it used to be.

Father Chekov was a Russian Orthodox priest who experienced what he calls a "revelation" during an aurora display several years ago. He left the Orthodox church and founded the Church of Luna — a small but growing congregation that meets in a converted building in South Addition.

His appeal is easy to understand. During the dark months, when the sun barely rises and the cold seeps into everything, Chekov offers warmth, community, and hope. His sermons speak of "the light beyond the light" and "the one who waits." He feeds the hungry. He shelters the cold. He's genuinely kind.

But something about his theology is... off. References to "yellow light." To a "shepherd" who tends a "frozen flock." To things that sound less like Luna and more like something else entirely. Those with spiritual senses report that his church sits on ground that feels wrong.

RD-13 is a research facility in Government Hill that officially studies "seasonal aurora patterns." Unofficially, the Gauntlet around the facility is severely damaged, strange lights appear at all hours, and personnel who work there too long develop... changes.

Dr. Richard Webb runs the facility. Little is known about him — he doesn't appear in normal databases, his credentials are difficult to verify, and the facility's funding sources are opaque. He's been seen in Anchorage occasionally, always alone, always watching.

The area around RD-13 is spiritually corrupted. Spirits there are wrong — twisted, hungry, speaking in languages that hurt to hear. Something is very broken in Government Hill, and Webb seems to be at the center of it.
