Uthtower

The star-sign called the Eye of Myrkul is said to raise the Uthtower from beneath the Mere of Dead Men. Such an event heralded the undead attacks upon Leilon, and ultimately in the A. The Battle of Leilon, an army raised by Ularan Mortus and the dread Nieznane Ebondeath who had possessed the body of the Ancient Nieznane Claugiyliamatar.

To put an end to this lingering threat to the Sword Coast, the Lords Alliance has offered a reward for putting the threat from Ebondeath to a final end:

  1. 10,000gp 
  2. Title and Lands
  3.  "Royal Class" apartments in either Neverwinter or Waterdeep

Party: Belcoria, Ujio, Tallon the Tall, Mon-Kei, Willow, and Alorrik.

Deal made with a black dragon encountered in the Mere of Dead Men, believed to be Voaraghamanthar, to deliver the bones of Ebondeath (so he might eliminate him as a rival for power) and a magical crown in trade for safe passage to and from the Uthtower and crucial lore to employ in defeating those within.

  • Ebondeath: believed destroyed (bones given to black dragon who claimed to know how to use them to prevent the dragon-wraith from ever rising again)

Titles and Estates

  • Mon-Kei: granted rank within the Waterdeep Griffon Cavalry, carrying his Lords Alliance rank of Stingblade ("Frontier Warduke") and assigned patrol of the Greypeak Mountains. (Based at the Mountain Lodge)
  • Ujio Hiroyuki: granted rank of Reserve Warduke (battalion commander in time of war) within the Lords Alliance, along with a noble's villa in the North Ward of Waterdeep near the Swordmaiden.
  • Belcoria Diamondstars: granted rank of Vindicator within the Order of the Gauntlet, charged with investigating occurrences related to The Netheril. (Based at the Mountain Lodge, recognized by the Lords Alliance as its landholder and titled "Lady Diamondstars").
  • Tallon the Tall: recognized as a full member (and given tattoo proof) of the dwarven Stoneshaft Clan, keepers of Thornhold on the southern edge of the Mere of Dead Men.
  • Alorrik Bane: officially recognized as a "cousin" of House Albrek, whose possessions and operations are restored in Neverwinter along with official death of Iarno Albrek, who would bear all debt (and forgiven in death) of the accusations of Draffodyl Whispybottoms. (Sometimes success is the best revenge!)
  • Willow Wolf-friend: granted rank of Winterstalker within the Emerald Enclave, assigned as speaker to/for the Gnawbone Druids of Kryptgarden Forest (and their patroness: Claugiyliamatar), which includes being watchful over the member "Reidoth" in the changes to "Djennie" (see Venomfang is Reidoth).

Treasure

A number of precious and wondrous items were removed from the dragon's hoard, including found items wielded by prior (failed) adventurers. Items identified by Alorrik over a tenday, using rituals.

  • Chalice of Blackfire: (used: rekindling requires highly rare and expensive items / can unburned what has been burnt) <Ujio>
