Dai is the Illiadian deity of Loyalty, Friendship and Alliances. It is often said that she and Deriel often go hand-in-hand, and that they even share some champions. Dai is mostly revered by Ree-Mai, as their sense of loyalty so ingrained in their culture. Nonetheless, she is also revered by many Mikaru and Arrash, especially back on Illiad, where many contracts of alliances and friendship are made in her name.
Dai is said to have sponsored quite a lot of ancient Ree-Maian heroes, some of which have been canonized as saints. Nonetheless, she her self is actually pretty hands-off in terms of dealing with mortals. If she has mothered any Children of the Cathedral, then none of their stories have survived until the modern day; or at the very least, she is keeping them hush-hush. Nonetheless, to the Ree-Mai, she is probably one of the most popular gods.
Dai mainly serves Rencal Kei-Rhai. Her realm within The Marble Cathedral is the "Flowering Fields of Friendship", a peaceful country filled with small, close-knit communities who welcome strangers with open arms.
Basic tenets of Dai:
- The bonds you make have the potential to be everlasting and stronger than steel. Cherish your loved ones every day.
- Be open to friendship, and do not shy away from creating bonds. Friendships may sometimes fizzle out, but they are always worth it.
- Be loyal, be kind, and always keep your loved ones and allies in your heart. They will give you strength.
