Agate Seekers picks up where last left off, reading their letter from the Midnight Sun. They are to take on a mission from a person called Ylos Asol, and protect him with their lifes, but also not tell him about the Midnight Sun or their request towards the party. However, as the quest will likely be posted in a few days, the party has a week of downtime first. Dareth Lion'el and Mikhail have their first kiss in a broom closet; though this moment does get interrupted a little as their cleaner Crysta Damanti knocks on the door. Sooty then copied over some spells into his spell book, including some that Cumulonimbus Cobaltshine and Nax Skyscale gave him. Dareth goes to the Blacksmith to have his sword enhanced and sharpened. Volk Lesnoy, Zora, Mikhail and Philomena Snapdragon all meanwhile engage in some kinds of training.
After downtime, the party has a short discussion about a slogan for A Taste of Home with Kilbi Leaftooth, eventually settling on "A Taste of Home: The flavors you miss". That's when they hear the bell that notifies them of an updated Quest Board. Looking through it, the party once again sees the Quest about the storm in the northern Kingdom of Graern. They also see a quest, made by an order of knights that worship Kord, asking for help with dealing with a demonic encursion in The Corniola Covenant, more specifically The Divine Authority. Volk's gaze remains on a quest in the High Lordship of Lugh, made by a local noble, about several military defectors, some of which are lycanthropes, who became bandits and need to be dealt with. But then, the party sees the quest the Midnight Sun mentioned, given by a man called Ylos Asol, who needs an escort through Grehel, from Patasa to Atana, in order to go home to Argentis. The party pretty quickly decides on that.
Upon teleporting to Atana, to make their way to Patasa, the party has to travel a few days. After a rather frightening encounter with a pair of hunting Bulettes, the party made camp for the night. In the middle of the night, however, Mikhail noticed that his symbol was glowing... And glowing at different speeds depending on here he looked. He decided to check out what this could be, he found a small forest and a small shrine with the statue of a woman, at which the symbol glowed rapidly. He clutched his symbol, and was mentally transported somewhere else for a while, but eventually returned with a worried but genuine smile on his face.
Upon returning to camp, Mikhail saw Dareth, who woke up by himself and was about to look for Mikhail. Mikhail clarified what happened, explaining that, upon seeing that statue, he was able to talk to Artemis, the Grehelian goddess of nature, hunting but also childcare, who explained several things to him. Most notably that it was Artemis, not Ursa Major, who gives Mikhail his clerical magic, but also that Mikhail's family, on his mothers' side, is directly descended from Corellon Larethian, which explains his sorcerous bloodline. Mikhail's changes as a Half-Tirrdaka seem to have reactivated that bloodline, as Corellon is also a god of change, though his parents didn't seem to have realized this particular fact. Mikhail and Dareth reassured each other, ending the night with another kiss, and the journey continued.
Walking through the way through the mountains, the party was able to sight some seemingly hostile ogres in the distance, hunting, but not noticing the party yet. With Dareth's urging, and seeing that these orgres wore human bones, the party was convinced that they must be up to no good, and ambushed them, dealing with the threat, though leaving Philomena quite hurt. Nonetheless, the party prevailed, and continues making their way to Patasa.
