Upon entering the teleportation circle, the Agate Seekers, together with Ylos Asol and Ul'grak Niedermeier, find themselves in a large foyer decorated with statues and paintings. There, they meet Chiana Shatterhorn, Wagner Shatterhorn's niece, who politely shows them the way outside. They find themselves in a village full of Minotaur, many of which are scholars and warriors, though they decide to not stay here for much longer, and continue their way to Atana.
On their way, the party makes camp, and in the middle of the night, Ul'grak, Volk Lesnoy and Philomena Snapdragon noticed some far-away noises on their watch... birdsong, and rhythmic tapping? Waking everyone up, everyone else heard the same song... and quickly found out how dangerous it is when Zora was charmed by it, slowly marching towards it, before being stopped, which resulted in the charm disappearing. The party slowly and stealthily approached and found a one-legged, bird-shaped fiend, currently luring and charming a woman and a old lady with its song. A fight ensued, the old lady turned out to be another one such fiend, and, after Dareth Lion'el Griffmane took quite a pummeling, the party was victorious and was able to escort the lady back to her farmstead home.
After two more days of travel, the party arrived in Atana, finishing up their quest "Stranded in Grehel", acquiring several useful items in the process. Dareth also was gifted a helmet by Ul'grak, as he remembered Dareth being quite annoyed after his last Lucky Shot experience; Dareth didn't remember but appreciated the gift nonetheless.
Upon returning to Argentis and being told by receptionist Marlène Lebas that Wagner left them a bit of a gift in the form of 500 extra Guild Credits (making a total of 1000), the party went back to A Taste of Home and were greeted by both Punchy and a completely packed restaurant, where Mikhail immediately helped "Jenny" out with the waiting of tables.
Dareth and the others meanwhile entered the room with the Roost, where Dareth immediately was smitten by the (surprisingly intelligent) pseudogriffons, basically melting while petting them, wishing to immediately feed and play with them, until Volk was able to drag him out of the room. What followed was a bit of shopping, where Dareth first upgraded his armor to Plate Armor at the Irons in the Fire Blacksmithy, and then commissioned several cute collars for the new Pseudogriffons at The Perfect Cut tailor.
The party then went to The Hole, to make their way to The Silver Underground and speak with the Midnight Sun, as they had now finished their mission, as it was requested by them. However, something felt off... quite a few of the little side-alleys in the artificial cave system were not lit for some reason. That's when Dareth was hit in the back by a Crossbow Bolt, and the entire party heard someone chuckling.
“Well, well, well. Look who we have here. The Earl’s bastard son. You know, when we came here, we just tried to establish a new trading alliance with the thieves guild here, after our few last ones fell through, but I sure as fuck didn’t expect one of our prey who were able to flee to show up here.”
Out of the darkness came a Hobgoblin man, together with several Humans and a Half-Elf, all wearing armor with a symbol of a bloody, black gauntlet, and all pointing their weapons at the party.
“You may not be the heir, but your death will put us quite into favor with the boss. Men! Kill him and take his head. I don’t care what you do with the others, just deal with them.”
SESSION END.
