HotSC Session 65

December 14, 2025

We start the session as the party starts their downtime; Philomena Snapdragon continues into her 6th week of her piercer-feat training, Sooty his 5th week of the Telepathic-feat, Volk Lesnoy his 5th week for the Observant-feat, Mikhail his 6th week of Spellsniper and Dareth Lion'el Griffmane finishes his training for Mobile and Zora does some Pit-Fighting in The Silver Underground, earning 200 Gold in the process.

During the first day of downtime, however, Volk decided to talk to Nyaltad Lilovyre, their Feda-Lide houskeeper of Dragonborn descent, leading them to the party's private quarters; since they had been vulnerable to the party and shown their true form, Volk now decided to do the same, now that he was able to. The two were able to have a pretty nice conversation about their own natures and ended things on a handshake, though Dareth did barge into the conversation for a moment before immediately turning back into his room.

Dareth meanwhile talked to Sooty about his Sending spell... only to, sadly, realize that Sooty can only send messages to people that he met and talked to. So, Plan B; Dareth looked around for a show that sells spell scrolls... which, due to some bad navigational skills, took him until about midnight. He did find a shop in the middle of closing in the Mages District of Argentis, called "The Last Spell", run by a younger human man, about 19 or 20. He was able to buy 3 Sending scrolls, and put in a future order for 3 more, though he did make the shopkeeper a bit uncomfortable.

He then immediately used them once he returned home; first on his brother Clayton Griffmane, who, drunkenly, assumed this to be a hallucination. Annoyedly, he then contacted Celeste Arborguard, who, while glad to hear from him, urged him to stay away from Galon while she researched things about their attackers.  She did however tell him about the good news that Skyhold was being rebuilt by House MacLean, whose Viscount was Blain Griffmane's best friend, and that many people of the township managed to survive the attack, too. Dareth then proceeded to go into Mikhail's room and cuddle him, until the next morning, where Dareth, using his last scroll, was able to contact a more coherent Clayton, telling him to go to Dulenn to meet with their sister, but wasn't able to get his location out of him.

The next day, Philomena seemingly left the premises, but Volk decided to seek out Amnis Diluvi, Limni Diluvi's younger brother, who was staying at their Inn, together with the rest of the available party, after asking their Inn-keeper Thalryn Noctis which room he has taken. The party then met with him, with Dareth Lion'el Griffmane, Mikhail, Sooty and Zora doing so for the first time. After a talk about their recent mission and the Mirror of the Perfect Moment, Volk decided to lead him to the Backyard to show him something; namely his true forms, and that he now was able to use magic, as well as Ena-Techniques. Amnis, very interested in this, and was able to show that Volk was able to use both druidic magic, as well as Ena-Techniques that only wielders of the Moonlight Ena-Type could use. After this lesson and some talks that followed, the party said goodbye to Amnis and decided to visit his brother.

Volk was able to locate Limni in the Silver Harbour district of the city, and was able to easily find "The Prince of Tulips"; Limni's and The Silver Heart Trading Company's gigantic flagship. After some arguments on the lift up to the deck, the party met with Limni, who was very happy to see the party after hearing from Horvyn Quickstamp. He graciously took on the Mirror of the Perfect Moment and engaged the party in conversation. In said conversation, in an effort to help Dareth, the subject of Galonian noble families came up; and after a slip of tongue where Dareth mentioned going on Galas as a child, it was revealed to Limni that Dareth is a Griffmane. Nonetheless, the conversation was productive, and Limni was also able to take on the blueprints the party found under the temple of Aesil; promising to find a gunsmith and that the party would be the first to have a working prototype.

The party then returned home and went on their business for the rest of the week. On the second-to-last day of their downtime, as the party got ready to go to bed, Dareth heard the familiar voice of the Midnight Sun; "If the members of the Agate Seekers could meet me in my office tomorrow, I would appreciate it".
