Start: End: 16th of Houden, noon; the Bill's Bimbos, Bill Brouwen, Azaetha Starstride, and their pets all are headed south out of Sedesend, beginning their journey into Umbradeep.They are headed to a nearby cave system to begin their travel downward to Qir'ellan'alak.
Otto Ozzley bought a pair of Sending Stones, giving one to Daxar Darkstone to keep in communication with the Skallywag Squad. The Bill's Bimbos also bought some Potions of Climbing as well as a Spark Shortbow and Pistol. Rohtagels parted with Hawky, sending him to hang with the Skallywag Squad while the Bill's Bimbos is adventuring underground.
Azaetha Starstride used a magic compass and cast Find the Path, then traveled until sunset south out of Sedesend found a cave. Entering the cave system and traveling for 2 hours, they came upon 3 Giant Scorpions eating the remains of a dead traveler. In defeating the scorpions, the remains were incinerated, leaving only a metal potion vial with an unknown potion inside.
3 hours of travel down the cave and they encountered a pack of 14 Gnolls and 2 Gnoll Brutes. Azaetha Starstride separated the pack with a Wall of Fire, and Aoife Sweeney scared most of the pack with an immediate use of Arms of Hadar. Defeating the 2 brutes, Calliope used the severed head of one gnoll leader to scare the remaining dogs away.
Another 2 hours of travel down in the cave, the Bill's Bimbos decided to camp for the night. Using a door from the Robe of Useful Items and the Shadowsilk Rope of Climbing, they hid their resting place for the evening.

Long Rest, woke up morning of the 17th of Houden. Avoided any mid-rest encounters. Resumed travel and continued another 4 hours (10 miles = 0.5 miles depth, 1.375 miles down)
