Captain Deudermont was a famous captain of the large pirate hunting vessel, The Sea Sprite, who worked extensively along The Sword Coast under the employ of The Lords of Waterdeep. In the Year of the Bent Blade, 1376 DR, Deudermont led a large expeditionary force into Luskan to take control of the city in the name of The Lords' Alliance. After the destruction of The Arcane Brotherhood, he became the Governor of Luskan. He attempted to reform Luskan into a more civilized and well-governed city; however, these efforts and his rulership were cut short through sabotage by the High Captains of Luskan who fomented a rebellion against him, which ultimately led to his death.
