The River District is the northeastern district of Neverwinter and is also known as The Towers District, a name referring to its 3 major landmarks: The Cloak Tower, The Fallen Tower, and The Shard of Night. Before The Ruining, the River District was inhabited by the prosperous merchant class of Neverwinter as well as their servants, and the headquarters to the city's many merchant guilds were located there. After the eruption of Mount Hotenow, much of the central portion of the district was largely spared destruction, but the southern and eastern sections were completely flattened.
