A group of adventurers led by a Paladin of Lathander, named Pavvaal Borsk recently traveled to the ruins of Leilon and has not been heard from since. He believed that, once there, he would find evidence that Lathander still existed as a true god, not only as an aspect of Amaunator.
During his studies with Sister Garaele Xil'oama, Raemund Faeton learned that the Spellplague had unleashed the Tower of Thalivar's magical guardians upon Leilon. These constructs remain dangerously uncontrolled, with some capable of paralyzing victims with their gaze, potentially explaining the disappearance of numerous expeditions into the ruins.

At Wayside Inn, Cooragh Struckt and Martisha Vinetalker provided further information about Pavvaal Borsk, describing him as a fanatical Paladin whose companions appeared intimidated by him. Borsk believed the resurgence of Amaunator's worship was a Netherese plot to supplant Lathander, and that something within Leilon could prove Lathander still existed independently.
Martisha warned The Party that numerous adventurers had vanished within Leilon's ruins and recommended protection against paralysis and petrification. Vala Silverton and Raemund Faeton agreed that investigating the ruins would be better left until The Party was more powerful.
