Zottyah II Pelegon was the 12th Shahanshah. She ruled during the Years of Blood and Iron and gained the throne by staging a coup to overthrow and kill her unruly and wild older brother Pelegon III and her grandfather, Grand Vizier Samwell Sweet. A talented battlefield commander before her coronation, her reign was largely spent attempting to fix the mess she inherited from her father and brother while also attempting to coordinate the Imperial forces. She ruled for less than a year. Her youth, inexperience, fiery temper, and black reputation owing to her kinslaying could not make up for her determination to win the war. As enemy forces marched on Arcanopolis, she was assassinated by her Imperial Conclave so that her young and controllable son, Pelegon IV could succeed her. For her murders of her brother and grandfather she became known as Zottyah the Kinslayer.
