Chaf'har Sazam

The Q'kar Sazam, more commonly simply called Sazam, are a Badawi tribe.

It was Prince Ulam-el Sazam who is claimed to have slain Pelegon VI during the Battle of Red Sands. Afterwards, Ulam-el would take the Shahanshah's skull to use as a drinking cup. Even today, Pelegon's skull remains an heirloom of the Sazam princes, and when a new prince is named, they demonstrate legitimacy by drinking from the skullcup and then being baptized by priests who pour water from the skullcup onto their heads.

Since the Battle of Red Sands, the Sazam have decorated their banners with a skull. Their banners contain writing, which reads "Sazam," "Ha Nahin Naqf," which translates to "Here We Stand."

A common saying about the Sazam among other Badawi Q'kar is that "their hearts are blacker than their flags."
