Guildmaster Herbert, born Herbert Sweet, was a member of House Sweet who was named Guild Regent by his kinsman, Pelegon II Pelegon. During riots in Arcanopolis, he was pulled from his litter and ripped apart by the crowd as he left a brothel. Despite the oaths of chastity of members of the Imperial Mercantile Guild, Herbert was known as a frequent customer at many of the high-end brothels in Arcanopolis and fathered many bastards.
