Shahanshah-consort Sarai Mannos was the wife of Shahanshah Sethon I Pelegon. During Abba's Coup, Sarai hid in the Golden Palace's Imperial apartments with her young daughter, Princess Alianne Pelegon, until they were found and slaughtered by Abba's men. She and her daughter’s murder was a great scandal which severely damaged Abba I’s reputation and led many houses to declare against her. On hearing of her sister and niece’s butchering, Lady Meredith Mannos immediately swore an oath of vengeance against Abba and began to muster her levies.
