One of the seven wards inside of Waterdeep proper.
The Sea Ward’s mascot is the Sea Lion and is represented by the colors blue and gold. You can find many notable locations here as well as many residences and businesses run by the rich and powerful.
Notable Locations:
Field of Triumph - A large outdoor stadium where events are often held. The gate to this stadium is called the Lion’s Gate for it’s image of a gaping sea lion’s maw.
House of Heroes - This is the largest temple in Waterdeep and dedicated to Tempus. It’s grand halls celebrate and honor the past heroes of Waterdeep and the city’s champions in both battle and sport. Winners of ward competitions may find themselves here after winning at the Field of Triumph, often on the crowds shoulders or by crowd surfing.
Mystra’s House of Wonder - Temple dedicated to gods of magic, Mystra included. Beautiful mosaic patterns decorate large towers and grand halls with violets planted throughout in memory of Ahghairon. Magical displays of wonder can be seen all over.
House of Moon - Has the tallest tower of any temple in the city, rising some 75 ft into the sky. At night you can find priests at the very top soaking in Selune’s moonlight.
House of Inspired Hands - Temple dedicated to Gond, you can find a gathering of great, inventive minds working on new inventions and experiments. “Worship is work” here.
Tower of Luck - Temple complex dedicated to Tymora. This ‘tower’ is actually a large atrium made of glass. In the center is a large fountain with a statue of tymora, depicted as a laughing girl, jumping on the top with an outstretched hand. People often throw coins in the fountain to worship and to wish for luck. They say those who can throw the coin into Tymora’s hand is a sure sign of her favor.
The Shrines to Nature - Though only accessible to residents of the Sea Ward, through the irony fences you can see splendid gardens filled with statues, fountains and of course nature, all shrines to Mielikki and Silvanus.
Hero’s Garden - Found at the very northern end of the Sea Ward, this garden has few visitors. The only public green space besides the City of the Dead, the Hero’s Garden has lush gardens and many statues depicting the city’s important figures.
Temple of Beauty - This marbled temple is dedicated to Sune. Here you can find public baths and mirrored salons that are open from before dawn to dusk, free of charge. Priests here will glady give advice and aid to those seeking beauty. Donations encouraged.
