They are known to have once been in a poly marriage with Loryn Jewelhand and another individual. The other individual died during the civil war in Su-an Toan.
In 4029, they had their first and only child, Pip Jewelhand. The relationship and trust between parent and child seemed to have been strong, Pip going on to become an artificer and leave home. Around 4080, Pip returned to Vung Ria with her spouse, Miradan Ruinseeker, and child, Foes Quillspring. During the years following Yosmin was involved and active in the life of their daughter and grandson. It's unclear what their relationship was with Miradan, but no ill will seems to have occurred.
Even during these years, they formed a dislike for Miradan's parent, Lucidity. Luceran was a frequent visitor and babysitter of Foes, making him hard for Yosmin to ignore.
In 4087, Yosmin, Loryn and Luceran became Foes's primary caretakers after the death of Pip and Miradan.
Luceran joined the Jewelhand household, taking care of Foes the most on the day-to-day. After Foes lost his hand in an accident, Luceran was dismissed by Yosmin and barred from seeing Foes except on special holidays.
When Foes decided to leave for Límíng City, they cut off his financial access in an attempt to prevent him from going.
