Suryasta

Description

A servant of Malegami, and the younger brother of Hiss. They do not seem to have aged, or even changed, in many years.

Suryasta is a soft-spoken and very literal young teen. He appears to wield druidic magic and a honed but stagnant skill in ink drawing. They have a faulty memory and an unusual grasp of time.

Abilities

• Druidic Magic: Suryasta can cast low-level spells and wildshape.
• Portal Creation: Suryasta has demonstrated an ability to rapidly shift space even across planes.

Within the Campaign

They accompanied Takeda Kichiro and Seung on a mission to capture Cheon Do-Yun. Their primary role was creating the portal back to Malegami's domain, and distracting Shouwei Jin-li — though they found themself outmatched in that contest.

When Liutubang followed through Suryasta's portal, they found themselves in his bedroom within Malegami's domain. The room was decorated with ink-brush drawings, showing a practiced talent but a strange lack of progress or change in style. They learned that Suryasta was a servant of Malegami, though he was not an Echo created by his master as Seung is.

History

Suryasta grew up in a Pervasive Zone in Rajpathar with their mother and older sibling, Hiss. On a night of The Ghost Festival, Hiss took Suryasta out for a test of courage, intending to scare him as a prank. Instead, Suryasta encountered Malegami. They were taken, and presumably allowed to grow for several years before being locked at their current age.
