A small village in the northern center of the Sea of Trees, the Astralwood was one of the few places in the region considered orderly and safe to the people of the Common League. Populated mostly by smallfolk, it was the operating base of the Astralwood Enclave, and most of its small group of permanent residents were members of the organization. Its land claim was bordered by the hidden Lake of Telyth and the Vanishing Grove, and the Astralwood Enclave's "Keepers of the Forest" regularly patrolled its borders to fend off threats both physical and planar.
Homes in the Astralwood were originally hollowed out inside the great trees that grew in the center of the village. As the population grew, houses were constructed on great branches and along the forest floor where appropriate. Many of these houses still remain unoccupied, being pre-built in accordance with visions of great immigration from the "Speakers of the Forest", led by Ylyana the Starseer.
