Lazarus of Khundrukar

This character is dead.

One of a few Synthborn prototypes made by Durgeddin Stonehammer and Arundil Dhaldohr, Lazarus Mk. I was a failed attempt at replicating the magic of the legendary semi-living Thrakûr-Gundak. An experimental living construct made of mostly metal, Lazarus was also patched with wood where metal was scarce. The first of the "Lazarus Project", Lazarus was not programmed with the abstract intelligence of later models. Though he had strong motorics and could differentiate friend from foe, he had extremely poor ability to judge his surroundings. To him, Dwarves were good creatures, and all other threats that existed to the living were forms of evil Orcs. He was unable to process information that contradicted his beliefs, which would be immediately worked around or disregarded.

After the end of the Smith's War, he lay dormant for many years in Khundrukar, sitting broken in a fetid pool next to the body of an Orc he killed with his bare hands. For a hundred years, he was never visited in the storeroom, occasionally getting washed over when the pool overflowed during rainy seasons. His body eventually corroded to the point beyond repair as his environment grew pungent with disease.
