Wurgym Caurakril

With a name in Duergan roughly translating to "ugly cave pillar", Wurgym was often at odds with his own Dark Dwarf kind in Thuldûmkarak. Abandoning the city, he honed his skills surviving alone in the Underdark, developing unique abilities as a Ranger. He developed a kinship with all sorts of tiny Beasts, especially Spiders in the dark caves. This relationship grew, and Wurgym eventually learned how to direct them using a combination of magic and food; eventually, the insects completely took over his facial hair, which he manipulated at will.

These abilities led him to become scout for his clan in the Middledark. His life changed, however, when during a standard scouting of caves near Giantsbane, Wurgym slayed an intruding party of Dwarf and Human adventures the surface. Within their packs he discovered something that overcame his distain for other races: cheese. This tasty creation was nowhere to be found in the Underdark, and he could not contain his desire to try more. This led him to adventuring further and further up the tunnels in pursuit of gouda, to no avail.

Eventually, he learned cheese was only made on the surface, and adventuring parties would gladly part with their cheese in exchange for their lives. He obtained goggles and a cloak to go on "missions" to find this cheese, abandoning his post. These excursions made him a very inattentive scout, causing him to be exiled by his king for weakness. Now harboring distain for all races including dwarves and duergar, he ascended to the topside: one day, he would return to the Underdark with cheese in hand, and kill the king who exiled him.
