Morgran Frostbeard-Axethrower

A child of two members of warring Dwarven clans, Morgran grew up knowing no clan members beyond her father and mother. Born in Skypeak, she was given both of her parent's clan names in a brazen defiance of dwarven tradition, which, when discovered, caused further uproar amongst all her relatives. As a result, both of Morgran's parents were exiled, and they raised her as an outlander on the fringes of society in the southern Crowncrest Mountains. This served her fine until the greatest horror of her life occurred: a band of Orcish raiders found her family's home grotto, and slaughtered her parents. Too small to fight, she hid as the orcs raided her home, and was left orphaned in the mountains.

Morgran grew to be exceptionally large for a dwarf.Nearing five feet tall, she resembled her father's build, but took on the skin tones and hair of her mother. Through her father's warrior handbooks and bearing his axe, trained herself to become a Fighter. A childhood alone in the mountains was difficult, but taught her survival skills and kinship for animals. Possessing a wanderer's spirit, she eventually traveled south through the hills to the nomad's city of Khazalet.

Having been raised away from peers and lacking an adult education, Morgran had no social skills to make city life easier. After weeks of failure, she shaved much of her beard to fit in with the Human populace, and eventually managed to find work as a mercenary at the Roc's Nest. Following adventurers contracts, she developed her axe-skills further, and she eventually made a name for herself as a capable battlemaster.
